Ohana conducts skateboarding lessons for kids 3 and up, our awesome instructors encourage children through participation in a healthy, alternative sport, and help students have fun with their peers while offering a rare 2:1 student-teacher ratio for most classes. Skateboarding Playdate
PARENT/CHILD Class for ages 3 to 4 years

Prerequisite: Having fun on, with, or holding a skateboard is the only requirement to start this class.
Description: Perfect for the little skater who’s brand new to the sport, but loves playing with skateboards. Activities focus on gaining comfort on and around skateboards while children roam freely to explore and play on our 3′ mini ramps, multiple types and sizes of skateboards, and indo balance boards.
Class Length: 35 minute session/week
Cost of 4-Week Session: $80*
Intro to Skateboarding
CHILD Class for ages 6+ years

Prerequisite: Beginning level of comfort standing and/or pushing on a skateboard.
Description: If you’re child’s already asking for a skateboard, this is the class to start with. Catering to the future skater who looks up to the big kids on the block, activities will include those listed in the previous class description as well as focus on persistence, learning through trial & error and observation. Lessons will include proper stance, pushing, turning, pumping on mini ramp, and more
Class Length: 35 minute session/week

Skateboarding Basics
CHILD ONLY Class for ages 8+ years

Prerequisites: Comfort standing and pushing on a skateboard is required.
Description: Not ready to get sponsored, but definitely showing more interest in skateboarding, this class will emphasize goal setting, visualization, and concentration while building confidence and self-esteem. Activities and obstacles build upon those learned in the previous class plus practice on a private mini half pipe; learn the basics, ollies, dropping in, riding switch and more…
Class Length: 45 minutes session/week
Cost of 4-Week Session: $120*
Skateboarding Fun
STUDENT ONLY Class for ages 10+ years

Prerequisites: Visiting local skate parks and practicing tricks on flat ground or in park structures.
Description: For the confident rippers with experience on ramps and bowls who want to take their skating skills to the next level. Classes taught by sponsored Ohana Board Shop Team Riders.
Class Length: 45 minute session/week
Cost of 4-Week Session: $120*
*Annual enrollment/insurance fee of $25 due at the time of registration. All helmets, pads, and equipment rental fees are included in the session cost.
